NBA's Dwight Howard Joins Taoyuan Leopards
Even if you have never played basketball (籃球), you have probably seen people play it.
Ever since it was invented in the year 1891 (籃球從1891年發明以來), it has become one of the most popular sports in the world.
And in recent years, some of the most famous basketball players (籃球員) have been Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry…
…and Dwight Howard!
For most of his career (職業生涯), Dwight has played in the NBA (美國職籃), in the United States.
But now that he is getting older, he has decided to play basketball for Taiwan, before he retires (退休).
And he's already here!
On one of his first days in Taiwan, Dwight went to the Taoyuan night market (夜市), to try some of Taiwan's most famous snacks (小吃).
And while he tried one new mysterious food (神秘食物), someone told him he was eating "chicken butt" (雞屁股).
But Dwight Howard says he isn't just here to hang out (不只是來玩).
He says he's here to win games (贏球)!
Dwight is now part of the "Taoyuan Leopards" team, and tickets for all of his games are already sold out (門票全部賣完).
But he'll be playing many more games in the future…
So keep an eye out for Taiwan's new basketball star!

NASA's Artemis Rocket Goes to Space
In the year 1969, we saw a person walk on the moon for the first time.
Traveling to the moon has helped us to study it, and understand more about outer space (外太空).
But traveling to the moon is incredibly difficult
Only 12 people have ever walked on its surface.
So scientists from the USA, Canada, Europe, and Japan have been planning their next moon mission (月球探測任務) for a long time.
It's called "Artemis" (阿提米絲).
And it's finally on its way!
The 100-meter-tall Artemis I rocket was launched (發射昇空) on November 16th.
It will be in space for about 26 days, flying very close to the moon, and very far from Earth (地球).
And when it returns to Earth on December 11th, it will re-enter our atmosphere
Because this is our first time using the new rocket, there are no people in it.
But practicing with this rocket will help us understand how to keep people safe in the future.
If all goes well, then we'll send astronauts (太空人) to fly around the moon in 2024.
After that, we can finally send people to walk on the moon again in 2025.
In the future, it will get easier and easier to travel to space.
And if you're interested… maybe you could be next!

Scientists Find Oldest Signs of Human Cooking
How do you feel about cooking
You might think cooking is easy, if you have a kitchen (廚房).
But how do people cook without ovens (烤箱)?
Of course, for a lot of human history (人類歷史), people have cooked with fire.
It's one of the biggest differences (差別) between humans and other animals.
And we may never know which human used fire first…
But scientists in Israel (以色列) have found some very old evidence (遺跡)!
They found an ancient fish (古老的魚) from 780,000 years ago (七十萬年前).
And on the fish, they found signs of slow cooking.
That means people might have been cooking much earlier than we thought!
Scientists say cooking was important for developing early human society.
So the next time you're too tired to make dinner…
Be thankful you don't have to make it in the forest!
