This is the analysis by political analyst Prof. Fikile Vilakazi of this weeks by-election in KwaZulu-Natal. The ANC retained two wards in Mandeni and uMkzimkhulu while the DA retained it's ward in Chatsworth, eThekwini. This comes as residents continue to lament a slow pace of service delivery in these areas. Prof Vilakazi says this is suggesting that voters are fed up of existing governments but have no alternatives. And this is why the electorate continues to follow existing voter patterns...
