By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Eskom says this winter is expected to be a challenging time with the likelihood of stage 8 loadshedding on the cards. Eskom says it aims to maintain loadshedding between stage 3 and 5, however stage 8 is a possibility if planned interventions to minimise loadshedding are not successful. Independent Energy Analyst, Hilton Trollip says Eskom's failure to implement adequate interventions to minimise strain on the grid will indeed result in more frequent bouts of loadshedding over the winter period. Trollip says while a total blackout is unlikely at the moment, the likelihood increases as pressure is put on the already constrained grid...
