Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we talk environmental impact and support for biodiversity with Alex Forrester of Forest for Cornwall, a flagship project of Cornwall Council’s Climate Change Action Plan.

We stop by St Austell Leisure Centre to meet assistant manager Jacquelyn Pearce and her team during an open day, designed to promote the vast range of activities and opportunities they offer.

As well as that - with City Clean Up 2024 now in full swing - we’ll check in and do a bit of spring cleaning with Sian Knights, Communications Officer for Truro BID.

If all that wasn’t enough, we take a moment to mark St Piran’s Day, with two of the leading figureheads behind March 5th’s celebrations across St Austell town centre.

Finally, we highlight a new support group for Cornwall’s bereaved siblings that aims to provide a safe space for anyone over the age of 18 that has suffered the loss of a sibling at any stage of their life.
