Kayla holds a degree in child development and is an accredited instructor of Attachment Parenting International, a parenting program founded by Dr. Barry Sears in the 80’s, based on a philosophy that proposes methods aiming to promote parent/child relationships based on eight pillars: including parenting preparedness, building relationships with your child based on love and respect, touch, positive discipline, and balance in your personal and family life. Using the knowledge she learned by becoming a certified and practicing instructor, Kayla wants to shift the parenting culture and shift the mindset from "childism" supression to respect. This is an eye opening and informative conversation on shifting the parenting mindset and how we, as parents, can inspire a culture of compassion and respect in our future generations.
