Were the Olmecs black? Or did a profound contact between African and Olmec cultures happen in antiquity? I use to episode to pay homage to Professor Ivan Van Sertima & his 1976 classic "They Came Before Columbus". I don't spend the entire episode regurgitating the entire book verbatim. I discuss the impact this book had on me as a student & person of African descent. I also discuss the problem with people misinterpreting the work of Professor Van Sertima. Definitely check this episode out!!! listen, like, comment, and subscribe!!
