Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign launched a $90 million dollar advertising blitz over the next three weeks to sharpen her contrast with former President Donald Trump. The media buy marks her campaign’s largest-yet investment in messaging to voters. Meanwhile, Trump held a campaign rally in Asheville, North Carolina, with a focus on his economic policy. He said if elected, he will stop the Green New Deal, drive prices down, and cut energy costs by at least half.

Ernesto strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane as it moved past Puerto Rico. The storm brought heavy rains and strong winds, and cut off water and power to hundreds of thousands of people. It could strengthen into a Category three hurricane and move toward Bermuda in the coming days.

Ukrainian forces said they have advanced further into Russia's Kursk region as part of their cross-border incursion. Ukraine said it plans to create a “security zone” and open corridors to support humanitarian and evacuation efforts for Russian civilians.

Officials from Israel, the US, Egypt, and Qatar will attend the latest round of Gaza ceasefire talks beginning tomorrow in Qatar. It is still unclear whether the Hamas terrorist group will participate.
