It was not until the 1980s however, until they really began to take off and create that similar trading frenzy that baseball cards had. With now-legendary players like Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, and of course Michael Jordan entering the NBA, fanship was on an upward trajectory. You may be wondering how this ties into this podcast however that covers the more dark and obscure parts of our culture.
