In this episode of ODWIRA, we examine the use of Adinkra symbols in Akan culture inclusive of the Hoodoo Religion in North america. Adinkra symbols are used to convey Ancestral wisdom, yet they also have ritual function as shrines for Abosom and Nananom Nsamanfo (Deities and Ancestral Spirits). They thus become conduits of tumi (Divine power). The root symbols of adinkra can be found in the medutu (hieroglyphs) of Khanit and Kamit (Nubia and Egypt). We also address the pseudo-science of 'sigils' as misrepresented by the akyiwadefo (spirits of disorder/whites and their offspring) in pseudo-esotericism. We examine our books: HOODOO PEOPLE: Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) in North America - Akan Custodians of Hoodoo from Ancient Hoodoo/Udunu Land (Khanit/Nubia) HOODOO MAYN Nhoma: Hoodoo Nation Journal AKYISAN Nhoma - Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religious Reversion Journal Download the e-book versions of these and our other 16 books from our publications page: NHOMA - Publications www.odwirafo.com/nhoma.html Odwirafo Kwesi Ra Nehem Ptah Akhan Aakhuamuman Amaruka Atifi Mu Akwamu Nation in North America Odwiraman www.odwirafo.com
