It’s ‘Not E3 Season’ in the gaming industry, and in 2024 that means a loose amalgamation of streaming events that mostly seem destined to underwhelm, as the long tail of development weirdness from the pandemic continues to sow instability after a horrific round of layoffs this year. Despite this, @GameAgentET (OGiH) and The Six-Button Samurai continue to charge into the breach, discussing Sony’s State of Play event and the forthcoming Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and the June Nintendo Direct (whenever that happens). In this episode, we also pick apart the fortunes of various game franchises, parsed by The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly. We also stop to observe the 1st Anniversary of Street Fighter VI, and what our hopes are from Season 2. We’re in a fighting mood on the latest OH GOD IT Hz!
