Our beliefs regarding observing the Lord’s Supper, from 'A Brief Synopsis of the Principles and Testimonies of the Religious Society of Friends’ (1913). Christ did not command His disciples to institute any new outward rite or ritual. Rather, the real communion between Christ and His church is only maintained by a real participation in His divine nature through faith and obedience.
