Cladh Hallan - a small site on a Scottish island. This remote place was the site of the strangest moment in British prehistory. 3100 years ago, people were laid to rest. However, these people had died a long time ago, 500 years ago in fact! They had been mummified and then fixed with body parts of other people.
This episode focuses on the Middle and Late Bronze Age religion. Why did people act in such strange ways? How do you think of something as odd as mummification? Prepare for whiskey and peat bogs on this slightly freaky Friday.
