Brisbane… A place known for its welcoming charm and sunny disposition, Brisbane is vibrant and easy to love – much like our gin - that's what the team at Australian Distillery Co say about their Brisbane Gin anyway…. I gave it a try and today I’m going to tell you all about it!

Brisbane isn’t the only city to have a gin named after it…. A look through Australian Distilling Co’s gin collection like taking a tour of Australia.

Before Brisbane was distilled Australian Distilling co created spirits named after - Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and now there is also a gold coast, Fremantle, Bondi and Darwin! Surely Ipswich can’t be too far away!

When crafting their recipes, the team at Australian Distilling Co consider each region and its produce carefully, creating products with flavours that truly reflect their namesake cities.

They use carefully-sourced botanicals to create a unique blend that captures the spirit of the city….

In the small batch Brisbane Gin that was launched last November there are bold notes of local Queensland finger lime and warming fresh ginger...

Adding to the local flavour, spirits are distilled locally with this latest addition produced at Flinders Peak Winery .

They have also taken out the GOLD award at the – 2020 SIP Awards International Spirits Competition in California

I drank it mixed with tonic water and I even had some fresh finger lime on hand thanks to Yamanto Country markets to add to the drink too. This was a winning combo for me. The drink is refreshing and not too overpowering like some spirits and is a perfect beverage for Spring taking us into summer.

The bottle is very impressive and pretty in pink and makes a great addition to your home bar or drinks cart. I love a bit of pink and the label is a stunning pink, maroon and gold art deco vibe!

700ml bottle size. 40% Alc/Vol. Costs $75
