I had the pleasure of interviewing my new freind Pete Sears, super nice guy, this weekend thanks to an introduction by Michael Falzarono.

For those that don’t know Pete he’s is currently in a band touring with Melvin Seals and JGB, Moonalice, taking from the Honeymooners "from the moon and back Alice”. The band features Roger McNamee, Pete Sears, Barry Slesss, John Polo and Jason Crosby. Pete, Barry and John are also in one of my favorite bands, The David Nelson Band. For those that don’t know David Nelson, I am not sure you will be reading this, but check out The New Riders of The Purple Sage, one of the finest bands in the land, David being a founding member of the NRPS, who I hope to meet some day and listen to daily with many freinds in common.

Pete has a legendary history in music which you can see on Wikipedia, playing keyboards on Maggie May with Rod Stewart, bass with Jefferson Starship to the current day with The David Nelson Band and Moonalice. I’ve gotten to see him and feel his bass a few times at Dark Star Jubilee and this past weekend at The Stone Pony, what a pleasure.

You can see this past weekends videos here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtvmEdBpXyM&list=PL6Rz62xeLAME90PO09EcCDWF9UntlaaNV with The Chambers Brother’s Band, which is a whole other story. As I had hoped to be when I saw this announced I was able to be in the right place at the right time and almost on the rail.

Enjoy.
