A special designation and funding from Ottawa and the province has been granted to protect species in "priority places" - such as the limestone barrens on the Great Northern Peninsula. To find out more we reached the manager of Wildlife Research from the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture. (Krissy Holmes with Shelley Garland)
