The Manic Street Preachers were the up and coming Welsh rock band that emerged in the 90s and swept the UK with their punk attitude. Richey Edwards was the face of the band, and he certainly made a name for himself on the scene with his looks and how he'd present himself in interviews. He spoke candidly about his struggles with mental health, and his tendency to self harm was a subject he let the world see plain as day. However to the surprise of his friends and family, Richey disappeared the day Manic was supposed to embark on their breakout American tour on February 1 1995. To this day, he has not been found and his case has been shrouded with theories. Was this a suicide, or did he stage his own disappearance for a new life? We look at the details surrounding his puzzling disappearance, the mind of Richey Edwards, and more.
