Welcome to episode 3 of On The Rails With Erk. On this occasion, Erk is on location in Adelaide, South Australia. Beginning his short trip at the Adelaide railway station, he catches a train to Dudley Park station on the Gawler line. The current Adelaide train system is undergoing a major transformation with 2 lines closed at the time of Erk's visit in May 2013. The first stages of electrification are underway - currently all trains are diesel powered railcars. Returning to the city, Erk goes for a ride on the tram system through the city centre. An addition to the Glenelg line since his last visit, the new trams and the extension between Victoria Square & the Entertainment Centre are a part of a wider plan to improve public transit in Adelaide.
