South Carolina has been the poster-child for criminal justice reform, successfully enacting evidence-based practices, cost-saving sentencing options, and improving public safety among other things. In this On The Road report, host Laurence Colletti talks to Senator Gerald Malloy and William Hubbard about what made South Carolina’s actions successful.

Senator Gerald Malloy is a Democratic member of the South Carolina Senate, representing the 29th District since 2002. He is also currently an attorney at Malloy Law Firm.

William Hubbard is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and was president of the American Bar Association from 2014-2015.
