Today, join me on an incredible exploration of a Bible discussion with Courtney Bailey (PhD Theology, University of the West Indies, Mona), an Attorney-at-Law in private practice, who has, since 2012, served as a self-supporting Congregational Bible Teacher in his local congregation in Kingston, Jamaica. Courtney is the co-founder and co director of the Damian Jean-Baptiste Caribbean School of Ministry (www.djbcsm.com), a ministry training academy for congregations in the Caribbean. He is an Instructor in New Testament at the Rocky Mountain School of Ministry and Theology (Denver, Colorado), where he lectures on the New Testament including the Pastoral Epistles.

He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in New Testament at the United Theological College of the West Indies (Kingston, Jamaica), where he lectures on the Pauline Epistles. In his role as a freelance Bible teacher, he has taught audiences throughout the Caribbean, as well as in the United States, the United Kingdom, Southern Africa, and South-East Asia. Courtney and his wife Lovette have two children and reside in Kingston, Jamaica.

So many life's lessons from this episode: Avoid drowning in the minutiae; see the bigger picture. Just as the Bible weaves various tales into a larger narrative, our lives are a tapestry of seemingly unrelated events. Amidst the conflicts and temptations, trust in God, rejecting the notion that He withholds blessings. Doubts and choices either lead to life or demise.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus exemplified trust, facing death without succumbing to the belief that God held back. Revelation's finale mirrors Genesis, restoring what was lost. A tree of life, no curses, and a radiant, eternal reign with God await. The choice: trust in God's light or be consumed by darkness.
