The Black Gate – One Shot
The week before GenCon, I decided to run a one shot adventure for the group. We haven’t played any RPG’s for a few months and I felt we needed the practice before heading out. So after reading through the Black Gate by Harley Stroh, I was ready to cause some pain!
I will be the first to admit, I’m not the best with Adventure Modules. I’ve gotten better I feel, but I still notice when I fumble around with one (I know I did a few times during this session).
Our players for this game were:
Alejandro – Elf: Played by Spencer
Brose – Thief: Played by Paul
Larry Enticer – Warrior (Ranger): Played by Nate
Parn – Cleric: Played by Chris
Judge: Myself, Aaron Winemiller
I created each of these characters and gave each player a little background story to prepare them. Our group has never made it to level 5 in a Dungeon Crawl Classics game, so I thought it would be fun to try one. Personally, they ended up being glass cannons. High DPS, quick to fall down. Or perhaps that is just the nature of high level DCC?
No matter the case, everyone had a blast and I hope you enjoy hearing out antics!
This weekend we start our Starfinder Campaign!
Warning: We use naughty words in our game sessions. Sometimes often, sometimes not.
