After Dallas heard Heather on a podcast talking about her own family mental health battles, he courageously reached out to share about his own. Dallas almost died at birth, as he was born a heroin baby... In this incredibly compelling & heart felt episode, Heather and Dallas really discuss openly about what it's like to be the kid who doesn't come from the "normal" family. Which back in the 90's was anything other than a Mother, Father and siblings in a decent suburban home with clean uniforms and a brand new bicycle.

Being houso kids, and needing local friends and family to help exist when your parent cannot, this podcast will cover the following topics:

  • The desire to blow up your life, as it's what you know.
  • What it’s like to date someone from a rough back ground. What things you can do to help them? Dallas' girlfriend Lucy joins and speaks honestly on this topic.
  • What it’s like when extended family and your friends have to help raise you.
  • Being the poor kid at school.
  • The guilt of watching your family spiral, when you are trying to get out of the poverty cycle.
  • How Dallas found himself in a world of drugs, and what he does now to continue being a strong role model for other around him.
