What is the most radical thing that Jesus instructed His followers to do? “Love your enemies.” This week we had the privilege of having Bob Roberts with us from Northwood Church in Dallas, Texas. In a world where people are divided over differing beliefs, ethnicities, and political parties, whole hearted followers of Jesus are commanded to love everyone - even their enemies. This is so countercultural. The Gospel changes the way we see people because we have experienced the love of God when we were not worthy of His love. The only way we are able to love people is when we are abiding with the Father. We are called to embrace those around us with the love of God. It’s not enough to just say that you love them - loving someone means that you move towards them with compassion to seek their benefit. Love isn’t based on the worthiness of the person, but on the generosity of the one who loves. When we “consider others more significant than ourselves”, we humble ourselves and allow God to fill us with His love for those around us.

You can join our OneLife Sunday morning gatherings via livestream at 9am and 11am CST every Sunday morning. Or if you’re local to the Bay Area of Houston, we’d love to have you join us in person Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 9am and 11am!
