Have you ever considered what it would feel like to be a true cowboy? We are talking today with guest, Dave Alford, who has lived in Scottsdale his whole life and is the longtime boss of the Parada Rodeo and currently owner of Scottsdale's Rodeo Museum. We also discuss giving back to the community, bull riding and some interesting rodeo history.

Experiencing the rodeo while in Arizona is crucial so make sure to check out Westworld's events for Rodeos' horse shows and more! They have events starting March 2 and go until May. And if you can't wait, you can still experience bull riding! Dave's son owns a cowboy bar in Cave creek called Buffalo Chip Saloon and Steakhouse that features a bull riding event every Wednesday and Friday night.

We always try to highlight new businesses. The new places opening up this week are Beginner's Luck restaurant, which have the same owners Citizen Public House and the Gladly, also the Turquoise hat bar and lastly, Los Milics a wine bar that have won a James beard award for food and wine pairings.

We also wanted to include some spots that give back to the community. One Handsome Bastard's new Potato Vodka that donates to cancer research, Zuzu Cafe donates to Ballet Arizona and Light and Bark, a candle making experience, donates to rescue dogs.

Thank you for listening! We'll see you every Thursday for our podcast, if you liked it, be sure to rate it on Spotify and check out the video version on YouTube if you want to see us in action. Be sure to keep up with us on our Instagram: @onlyoldtown. See you next week!
