On this week’s #OntarioSnowmobiler.ca Podcast we talk with Mark Lapalme from Timmins Snowmobile Club in Timmins Ontario. Mark is the Operations Coodinator for District 14 and is the acting Vice President for the Abitibi Temiscaming Trails Association. We also have Suzy Stenoff joining us. She is the Co-Founder of the Kelly Shires Brest Cancer Snow Run which has raised over $3.5 Million Dollars.

Gold Rush Tour
-Mark explains that the Gold Rush tours takes you to towns that have or did have mines in the past
-The look takes you through Timmins, Iroquois Falls,Kirkland Lake, New Liskard, Elk Lake, Shining Tree and back to Timmins.
-You can start anywhere and finish anywhere and it takes about 3-4 days.
-The loop is about 500-600 Kms with awesome views!
-There is alot of Fuel, Food, Staging areas and lodging.
-Mark reminds us to never pass a Gas Station.
-There are dealers in the area incase you run into trouble

Kelly Shires Snow Run
-This week end and it the 15th anniversary!
-Takes place at the Hidden Vally Resort
-The Ladies are going to paint the trails pink this weekend with all the woman riders!
-The Charities help Cancer patients with funds not available from Government for private health care
-The number average of riders is 100 but it can see 200 riders!
-Any ladies can join, but there is a minimum pledge fundraising of $1250
-There will be a meet and greet and may other activities and things to do.
-The opening Ceremonies is great to attend to if you cant make the ride
-There are 4 levels of riders 1-Team Turtle 2-Team Rock 3-Dream Team 4-Hooter Haulers
-No Men are aloud, But can join along after wards.
-The run is all organized is by Volunteers!
