Life. Loss. Loneliness. Suffering. Heartaches. All of these things confuse us and can lead us into dark places as we question over and over the things we can’t understand. Like Job, sufferings in our lives often leave us desperately searching for answers. Searching for wisdom. Searching for God. The entire book of Job gives us a glimpse into his immense sufferings, but as we will soon see, the book ultimately ends with a deeper sense of intimacy between God and Job. What a challenge to each of us to not give up and wrestle well even. In some strange way, Job causes us to truly appreciate the value of wisdom and the often-difficult search for it that leads us straight into the very presence of God.
