Max Martini, a New Breed for Hollywood?!? There is a new breed of actor coming out of Hollywood these days with the likes of Gary Sinise and Max Martini in their support of America's Veterans. After meeting an Army Ranger, Max Martini became inspired to write the screenplay for Will Gardner about a vet who rides his Harley across America sorting out his personal experiences with TBI and PTSD. Max plays Will Gardner himself and the cast includes Gary Sinise, Elisabeth Rohm, Lily Rabe, Robert Patrick, Dermot Mulroney, JoBeth Williams and others. This is an important independent film bringing awareness of veterans issues to the public and donating 30% of the proceeds to veteran charities. Twenty veterans a day are taking their own lives and on any given night there are over 70,000 veterans homeless according to VA studies. The public and vets themselves need to be aware the condition, the signs, and resources for help in sorting out their wartime experiences and readjusting to civilian life. Colonel Jamie Williamson, a retired Special Forces officer, speaks with actor and screenwriter Max Martini about his acting roles in Saving Private Ryan, the TV series The Unit, and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Most important, they discuss Max’s current work, Will Gardner. Max’s previous work as far back as Private Ryan moved him in regard to the sacrifice of the American Soldier. He began his charity work in support of the troops which has included USO tours to Iraq and Afghanistan and other work for veteran charities.
