We discuss how continued supply chain troubles, China’s policy struggles with COVID-19 lockdowns, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine played havoc with smartphone parts prices.

Still, there were a fair few great phones this year.

Samsung continues to do great work with foldables (it’s the only one), while Google returned to India’s flagship segment in form. We also take note of specialist phones and ones that stand out in their segment.
