That Oregon Duck sure has been all over the place hasn’t he? Oregon’s guerilla marketing campaign to announce the university’s arrival in the Big Ten has been hard to miss and sets the stage for a big season for the Ducks, who were ranked third in the initial coaches’ poll.

On this episode of the Oregonian Sports Podcast, hosts Bill Oram and Brenna Greene put it all in perspective while also asking: Which department of the university is paying for all this mascot travel? Where will the Duck go next? The Olympics by any chance?

Also on this week’s episode:

• Some updates on what to expect from Bill this season, including a new weekly feature and the Oram Forum.

• Bill and Brenna share some impressions from the Ducks’ annual media day

• A quick look at the Ducks roster: Where are the weaknesses?

• Olympic highlights, including Ryan Crouser and local gymnastics medalists

• Bill discovers he has a personal connection to a German gold medalist — in real time.

• And much more...
