It’s wise to not overreact to any Week 1 result. The Ducks beat Idaho, so keep it moving.

But how do you not overreact to what was then the No. 3 team in the country barely scraping past an FCS program — even a very good one like Idaho?

The Ducks have work to do. The bandwagon has open seats for the first time in a good long while.

Will anything short of a blowout of Boise State allay concerns that the Ducks are in trouble? On this week’s episode of the Oregonian Sports Podcast, columnist Bill Oram and Brenna Greene of KOIN discuss what’s at stake for Oregon in Week 2.

Also discussed on this week’s show:

• Brenna explains her vote in the AP Top 25 and Bill makes the case the Ducks could have fallen even further

• Does Oregon have egg on its face after its marketing campaign talked such a big game before the season?

• Why Dan Lanning’s postgame speech likely resonates with his players

• Oregon State’s win did the trick, but didn’t teach us anything

• DJ Uiagalelei’s start at Florida State might have him missing Corvallis

... and much more.
