Finnish Absence of Facts label returns after a long hiatus with a strong two track release from the label head Orion. After strong releases on the label from Cari Lekebusch, Kitkatone, Buru etc, Absence of Facts reaches the end of 2020 with Orion’s “Hell Scorchin’”. The title track is a heavy broken beat techno track, with a huge kick drum and well designed textures of distorted layers and proper grit. The vocal, taken from the 2016 game Doom, gives the final touch to the dark, pounding atmosphere. The B-side, “Revolt”, takes things to a more simplistic clubby direction. Controlled groove, tight drum patterns and funky vocal snippets guarantee a tool for anyone appreciating oldskool, functional techno. Written and produced by Juska Wendland Recorded in isolation in Helsinki, Finland © Absence of Facts 2020
