We are living in unprecedented times. Not just with the pandemic, but with our country, and the rest of the world, speaking up and fighting against racism that has been going on for centuries. Changes need to happen at every level of our society.
If you can, please help support Black Lives Matter: https://www.thecut.com/article/george-floyd-protests-how-to-help-where-to-donate.html
I’d also like to recommend season two of Scene on Radio, Seeing White, which goes into the history of systemic racism in the United States: https://www.sceneonradio.org/seeing-white/
And the latest episode of Point Mystic where you get to hear from an activist known as Xochitl in her own words of what it is to be Black in America: https://radiopublic.com/point-mystic-6rNAXq/s1!cd286

Earlier this year, I was invited by Mike Troup of the Earth Collective to participate in a new show, Behind the Collective, where we put each other in the hot seat and ask questions about each other’s shows. In this particular episode, we talked about each of our first episodes, which led to discussions about writing, creativity, storytelling, and podcasting. Mike has graciously allowed us to run this episode of Behind the Collective for the Ostium listeners. Enjoy!
