Welcome to our Women in STEM Podcast!

Our host Zuzia Whelan delves into a discussion with our expert panel to discuss the barriers for women into STEM: from stereotypes, the gender divide resulting in lack of female representation, the importance of relatable role models and sufficient access from an early age, the different paths you can take within STEM and what needs to change going forward.

Thank you to our fantastic panel for sharing these insights, telling their own stories, and shedding light on such an important topic by having this worthwhile conversation.

  • Fiona Edwards Murphy – CEO & Founder at ApisProject, a company using IoT to reduce the
loss of honey bees, and listed on Forbes 30 under 30.
  • Tiffany Dawson – Career Coach & Multi-award Winning Podcast Host of “How to be a STEMinist”, former Mechanical engineer.
  • Maija Kale – Mentor at the Riga TechGirls initiative, Adviser at Nordic Council of Minister’s office.
  • Nuala McHale – Coderdojo’s Global Engagement Officer, a volunteer-led, community-based programming club for young people.
  • Maria Delaney – Science Educator, Investigative reporter for Noteworthy, President of the Irish Science & Technology Journalists’ Association.
