Who was responsible? According to the justice system – Freeway Rick Ross, a straight edge tennis player turned cocaine kingpin in South Central LA. But there’s a larger story. Ross bought his cocaine from Danilo Blandon – a prominent member of the Contra resistance and an associate of the CIA.

In the nineties, journalist Gary Webb uncovered evidence that the CIA endorsed, protected and even funded Danilo Blandon while the notorious drug trafficker unloaded literal tonnes of cocaine into South Central LA via Ross and his associates. And when it came time to go public, Ross and others were given life sentences, and Blandon was let out and time served and made an employee of the DEA.
