With all the recent news of criminal charges against Trump and serious allegations against Biden - makes you wonder how politicians deal with the outrage and anger. Of course, Emmett has a story about that.
For those not familiar, past Texas Governor Ferguson was governor of Texas from 1915-17 when he was impeached. Gov. Jim thought the state should fund public education and not so much to higher ed. He vetoed the University of Texas appropriation. That outraged its Austin liberal advocates, and they got Gov Jim impeached. So, he got his wife Ma Ferguson to run, and she was elected for two non-consecutive terms ending in 1935. Gov. Jim was still in charge.

Emmett was a young lawyer in the Ferguson's inner circle. He was new to politics and got some good advice to live by from a very experienced Texas politician, Gov. Jim Ferguson.
