The Out of the Box Boys are back for the final episode of the second year of Softball Media Days, presented by Anthony Cinello Realty! Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson finish off the series talking with more SEC head softball coaches about their teams. Let’s get started! First, Tom and Gray preview Day 4 of Softball Media Days and discuss a little bit about the upcoming conversation with Alabama’s Patrick Murphy while celebrating his inclusion in the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2022 (0:00-10:05). Then, Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy leads off and discusses incoming transfers, Montana Fouts, the full pitching staff, Bailey Dowling, lineup possibilities, the options in right field, the plethora of talented freshmen, Lexi Kilfoyl’s hitting, the non-conference schedule, the NCAA Gender Equity Report, and much more (10:10-52:05). Next, Mississippi State head coach Samantha Ricketts stops by to talk about the turnaround last year, replacing Fa Leilua, offensive returners, Annie Willis and the pitching staff, the transfer portal, conference realignment, and much more (52:11-1:20:28). Finally, Texas A&M head coach Jo Evans swings by to discuss the team’s response to close losses, Makinzy Herzog, Haley Lee, other offensive returners, the rest of the pitching staff, new faces in the program, rule changes, and so much more (1:20:33-1:52:07). With the coaches finished, Gray and Tom go into the “Fall Ball Special” and discuss what they saw from Alabama in Tuscaloosa, including some stats from the four games at Rhoads. Plus, the mailbag is back and the guys give a way-too-early SEC Top Five, in no particular order (1:52:13-2:20:00). To close the show, Tom and Gray recap the fourth episode and say some parting words at the conclusion of Softball Media Days (2:20:04-2:29:46). —Softball Media Days 2021 is sponsored by Anthony Cinello Realty, part of Alabama Beach Realty!
