Life happens in musical cycles: there are periods where you don't find any bands that get you excited. You're listening to the same music for months. Then, that one magical band blindsides you in the best way, seemingly out of nowhere.
When Camp Candle's new EP Light first hit my speakers, I felt... energized. I was inspired and wanted to make music immediately. I just wanted to get up and dance. Alas, it was only 9 a.m. at my workplace...
We sat down with Hetepsa and Nu Ra to talk about this new world they've launched themselves into. We talk about the life events that contributed to Light, how this project isn't about them but "the people", how growing up in Philly contributed to their sound, and how this period is "just the beginning" for two lifelong friends.
