In 1995 Lamar Johnson stood trial for the murder of Marcus Boyd in St. Louis, Missouri. Evidence was fabricated, witnesses were paid off and within a day and a half Johnson was wrongfully convicted to a life sentence without parole. In August of 2019, through help of Lindsay Runnels and the Midwest Innocence Project the St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney investigated the conviction finding that, "Johnson is innocent and that repeated and prejudicial government misconduct occurred" calling for an overturning of his conviction and a new trial.

Hear our interview with Lamar's Wrongful Conviction Attorney Lindsay Runnels as we take the conversation Outside the Law.
