Crater Lake National Park in the State of Oregon, is shrouded in mystery.
Known by the indigenous peoples of the area as a sort of no-man's land, where large bipedal "devils" and "stick Indians" roamed and kidnapped people. Often times hurling them into the crater filled with water below.
This weeks episode will cover two cases that occurred less than 30 miles from each other, with only eight years between their disappearances.
Derrick Engebretson vanished in 1998, 30 miles south of Crater Lake National Park in the Winema National Forest.
Sammy Boehlke vanished in 2006 from the famous North Rim Drive of Crater Lake National Park in central Oregon.
Both of these disappearances have confused law enforcement, search and rescue teams, and independent searchers for the past decade and a half.
Please keep the Boehlke and Engebretson family in your thoughts, and once again, if you find yourself hiking the back country near where these two cases occurred please remain vigilant for anything that may bring answers or closure to these grieving families.
