In this episode, we are joined by Ciaran Lawless, one of the best Irish lads to have ever pulled on a PAFL jumper. With gold medals as a junior in Ireland in the 100 metres and 200 metres and a progression through to the Dublin Athletic Championships, Ciaran is a natural athlete who runs like greased lightning.
Ciaran also played soccer as a junior and evolved into playing Gaelic footy which culminated in him playing in the European Gaelic Champions team in 2011 in Guernsey in the UK.
After reaching Manila in 2013, he joined the PAFL and took up Aussie Rules in which he bamboozled all the Aussies with his speed and skill and his competitive nature to win. He quickly became a much-loved and well-respected member of PAFL and improved in every game he played with the pinnacle being him representing the Philippine Eagles in the 2017 Asian Champs.
Ciaran also played Gaelic footy in Asia playing in the China Games and the Gaelic Asian Championships to round off a stunning career of footy in Asia.
So grab yourself a Guinness and sit back and enjoy this fascinating insight into this athletics and Gaelic star who came to dominate Aussie Rules in the Philippines.
