Did you know that you can use your nose to find Hyenas? Today Jack is joined by the absolutely brilliant Christine Wilkinson to discuss the brilliant world of Hyenas! The episode starts with an introduction to this incredible animal and a chat about what makes each of the four different members of hyaenidae distinct (the Spotted Hyena, Striped Hyena, Brown Hyena & Aardwolf).

Then, Jack and Christine move on to talk about fence ecology and human-wildlife conflict. Plus, they discuss some of the creative ways that conflicts have been resolved. This includes working with communities, building specialised farm equipment and painting eyes on cow's bottoms!

Finally, Christine chats about some of their favourite under-appreciated African species - the Secretary Bird, Vulture and Warthog! Name a more iconic trio, I'll wait...
