We joined Clarice Aguilera and her @thetagalogproject for Filipino Storytime #9 to talk dad feelings, parent feelings, Filipino American parent feelings! Listen in to learn about why she started The Tagalog Project and Filipino Storytime. We read "Tough Guys Have Feelings Too" by Keith Negley in English and Tagalog (thanks Clarice!) We also sang Bahay Kubo and other children's songs in Tagalog. Afterwards, we held a discussion with the families in attendance to discuss positive parenting, emotions, culture, and more! Thanks to all of the families that attended and for the participants that braved the microphone to read some Tagalog phrases about feelings!
If you're in the Bay Area, you can participate in Filipino Storytime every 4th Thursday at Pinole Public Library. The next storytime on Feb 22, 2020 will feature Justine Villanueva, mom and author of "Jack & Agyu."
