Guest Info
On this week’s episode we chat with Dr. Mike Watson who is a leadership professional and an expert on leadership and we chat all about his heart-centric philosophy to leadership, the impact of his dissertation research, and so much more.
Mike currently holds multiple positions at the University of South Carolina including, Department of Retailing Undergraduate Coordinator, Instructor, Store Director for the Gamecock iHUB (Apple authorized campus store) and Senior Faculty Fellows for the Center for Integrative and Experiential Learning.
Dr. Mike Watson is empowered and inspired by the integration of seemingly disconnected elements in the service of others: these elements include spiritual intelligence, leadership, higher education, design and integrative thinking. His purpose of inspiring others to stand in their brilliance is the outcome of weaving together these elements into a heart-centric philosophy, in which the heart speaks, the mind listens and the spirit acts.
He believes in working with individuals and leaders who are inclined toward worthy goals aligned with core human values and in relationship with all stakeholders. In his work he utilizes the power of purposeful tension, active patience, and the development of personal insights gained from self- awareness as tools for prosperity. Mike has positively impacted thousands of individuals by partnering with a wide range of academics and professionals - from CEOs to yogis.
His years of experience in educating, and in the retail industry, influencing and directing from a regional perspective has provided him with opportunities to coach emerging leaders, shape a national retail company’s visual footprint and brand image, design boutique and retail stores, expand business models and reshape communities.
