The past few years have drastically changed our way of living. It changes the way we communicate, work, and educate our children. While we are so busy adjusting to change, we often forget that our children also need support.

Today, the author spotlight is on Dr. Tamera Foley, a veteran educator and advocate for children's trauma and mental health issues.

She is passionate about helping parents and children practice mindfulness, and self-care, and create healthy habits that support their overall well-being with books and journals.

Dr. Tamera's book Cassie's Big Change is about a girl and her journey as she adjusts to the changes in her life before, during, and after the peak of COVID-19. She also created an Exploring My Emotions journal that gives children the opportunity to write and record their feelings and reflections, and do fun interactive activities for parents and children.

Throughout this episode, we talk about the importance of having a check-in with your child’s mental health, how to use tools like books, journals, and technology to converse with your child about their emotions, and how to exercise mindfulness with your children.
