Perhaps the person who needs grace the most is us, and perhaps the hardest person to extend grace to, is ourselves. John 21 tells the story of what happens to Peter after his great failure. The focus is on how Jesus responds to Peter after his life’s greatest regret.
This story is a vivid reminder of how Jesus responds to our failures. Our failures do not repel him but instead trigger his love toward us. Our failure does not disqualify us – the grace of God propels us into a new adventure with him as we tell others what he has done for us.
