In a session moderated by The Honourable Minister Dr. Joyelle Clarke, of Saint Kitts and Nevis, panellist Nicole Pitter Patterson, a senior development consultant specializing in women's economic empowerment and technology for the common good, presents on the digital inclusion of women and girls in STEM fields.

As the co-founder and director of She Leads IT and the Caribbean Girls Hack initiative, Ms. Pitter Patterson addresses the impact of gender inequalities on access to the benefits of digital transformation. She highlights the challenges faced by women and girls in the region, including underrepresentation in leadership roles in the technology sector, barriers to entry, and unconscious biases. She concludes her remarks by offering examples of good practices for more inclusive digital transformation.
