Partial View goes international with discussion of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and its relationship to American theatre! Guest Rho Chung joins us to talk about their experiences working on the festival and as an arts critic for The Skinny, while Danielle shares her preconceived notions about the festival and how they stack up to the actual experience. Rho Chung is an Edinburgh-based theatre writer and maker, having studied and worked previously in New York. They are currently finishing up their doctoral dissertation on Shakespeare, gender, and violence. As a theatre person, they have worked most recently with Some Kind of Theatre and The Show Must Go Online. Rho currently edits the theatre section of The Skinny, one of Scotland's largest arts and culture magazines. They also act as director of communications for Strut Safe, a UK-wide, volunteer-run support line for anyone walking alone at night.
