At the time of the birth of Christ there is a lot of talk of following and being followed. Zechariah is following Gabriel's instructions, Joseph and Mary are following a decree for a census all the way to Bethlehem, shepherds are following angels' words, and wise men are following a star. Jesus said if anyone would come after me he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. We are all following someone, and we are all being followed. Jesus had 12 followers, I have zero twitter followers. When deciding who I follow I should ask myself, "Do I want to go where they are?" When looking at who is following you, I must ask, "Am I going where I want them to go?"
