As the snow blankets the foothills of Northern California, I find myself wrapped in the warmth of gratitude for each of you joining me today. We've got a loaded roster this episode, from the Oakland A's potential curveball move to Las Vegas, to their interim innings at Sacramento's own Sutter Health Park. And of course, my old sparring partner, Robin the Interrupter, drops by to dish out some classic Giants vs. A's banter, lighting up the show with her die-hard Giants fandom.
Sacramento's baseball heart beats strong, and today we explore its pulse. With stories of local legends enshrined in the Sacramento Baseball Hall of Fame, including my own father, our city stepping up to the plate for the A's, there's a kaleidoscope of tales to be told. We'll navigate the intricate weave of loyalty and rivalry that only sports can stir up, and whether you're a longtime fan or new to the game, you'll feel the energy of this community's love for baseball.
Finally, we take a moment to honor the resilience of our city, Former Sacramento Sheriff turned Talk Show Host recounts the 33rd anniversary of the Good Guys electronics store hostage crisis. It's a somber reminder of the bravery and spirit of Sacramento, a place many of us call home. As we close this chapter, I'll share a snippet of personal history and a treasure from my record collection, a nod to the unwavering support you've shown me. So, lace up your cleats and join us for an episode that's a home run of emotion, memory, and the undying passion for the game.
