I work from home the majority of the week and I use Move Mouse portable.
My work laptop automatically locks after two minutes of inactivity.
This timer cannot be changed.
I only use the laptop to check my e-mails; I work on my home PC.
Most home workers at this company probably use their laptops all the time, so the timeout issue isn't a big deal for them.
However, because I do not primarily use the laptop for work, the constant locking is inconvenient, and I.T. refuses to do anything about it.
I currently use the portable version of Auto Mouse Mover from MurGee.com (placed in the Startup folder), but it displays itself on each boot and you must manually click "Save & Hide to System Tray" each time.
Is there an alternative program to Auto Mouse Mover?
I'd prefer one that can be placed in the Startup folder and opens automatically by running minimized to the system tray
