We'll be discussing how severe is the food bank and soup kitchen restocking issue?
* Nationally, food banks and soup kitchens have been running low on inventories regularly. In 2008, 38 million Americans needed assistance from these charity venues. In 2009, over 45 million Americans turned to these venues for support.
* The recent recession has witnessed an "across the board" drop off on general charitable giving.
* Anyone can encourage participants to supply Just One Can of Food. Participants pick the size of can, the product manufacturer, the food type. Once collected, donations are sent to a local food bank or soup kitchen.
